Several years ago, i wrote a play called "the Hardest Convert." It takes place during the crucifixion of Christ. The main character is a peer of Mary's, who had to watch as her son was killed in the Slaughter of Innocents. She, in the end, would be one of the hardest converts - having watched Jesus growing up, being fully acquainted with his humanity. She bears a grudge over his survival. She has a lot to say about his journey. This is the play, in three parts.
